Bridging Care & Innovation Event Highlights ATLMed May General Body Meeting

The Atlanta Medical Association’s May General Body Meeting brought together physicians, clinical research leaders, educational partners, and community stakeholders for an evening focused on connection, discovery, and the future of patient-centered care.

Held as part of The Grand Rounds Series: Bridging Care & Innovation, presented by Randomize Now, the program featured Dr. Luther Burse, Jr., MD, who shared insights on his involvement in medical research and explored the latest treatments for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).

The evening created an important space for dialogue around clinical research, health education, and innovation in care delivery. Attendees had the opportunity to engage with leading clinical research providers and educational partners while learning more about how advances in research can help improve outcomes for patients living with chronic conditions such as IBD.

Dr. Burse’s presentation emphasized the value of continued medical education, collaboration, and research participation in helping physicians and healthcare professionals stay informed about emerging treatment options. His discussion also highlighted the importance of building stronger bridges between clinical care, research institutions, and the communities they serve.

The event was held at the Morehouse School of Medicine, Calvin Smyre Education Conference Center, and included dinner, networking, and meaningful conversations among members and partners.

ATLMed thanks all attendees, sponsors, collaborators, and partners who helped make the May General Body Meeting and Bridging Care & Innovation event a successful and impactful evening.
